When you need this
- “People keep mentioning R&DTI, CRC, grants — what applies to us?” Advisers, investors and peers each name a different program, and you want a neutral explanation of what each one actually is before anyone starts filling in forms.
- “Our project now has structure and records — what could that open up?” The pathway has been run and the evidence exists; the question is which support pathways may be relevant to a project shaped like yours.
- “A pathway may need partners we don’t have yet.” Some programs require research collaboration partners and specific project structures, and you want to understand what preparation may be required before deciding whether to pursue one.
- “We want to plan ahead without betting on an outcome.” You are not looking for promises — you want to know how structure, partners and evidence affect relevance so future decisions are informed ones.
What we deliver
- Orientation across R&DTI, CRC-P, CRC and ARC Linkage. A plain-language map of the main Australian innovation support pathways, what each is for, and how they differ — with links to the official sources.
- What preparation each pathway may require. The kinds of structure, records and relationships each pathway may require — so if one becomes relevant later, the groundwork already exists.
- How project structure, partners and evidence affect relevance. An explanation of how the way a project is structured, who is involved and what has been recorded shape which pathways may be relevant — and which are unlikely to be.
Every pathway is administered by the Australian Government, and each one may be relevant only depending on the project’s structure, partners and evidence. We always point you to the official sources — business.gov.au for the R&D Tax Incentive and CRC-P, the Department of Industry, Science and Resources for the CRC Program, and the Australian Research Council for the Linkage Program.
